Filming Amabandla AmaAfrika. David Fanning, Director. The Christian Institute sponsored a documentary film on the African Independent Churches. I provided a text for the commentary and arranged for most of the scenes. The film was made by David E Fanning & Francois Marais both of whom went on to successful careers in the media. David Fanning became a very distinguished award-winning documentary film-maker for Public Service television in the United States. Francois Marais worked for many years at the BBC.
